The two notifications together cover 750 vacancies560 posts under the Regular/State cadre (RPC) and 190 posts under the Kalyana-Karnataka local cadre (Article 371(J) – KK). Important Note: Three things every Karnataka Surveyor 2026 candidate must check before 20 August 2026. First, there are TWO separate notifications and two separate application links – one for the Regular cadre (560 posts) and one for the Kalyana-Karnataka cadre (190 posts); candidates eligible for the Kalyana-Karnataka local cadre reservation under Article 371(J) must apply under the KK notification separately and must possess the prescribed eligibility certificate from the concerned Sub-Divisional Assistant Commissioner; candidates applying under both cadres must submit two separate applications. Second, no correction or modification is allowed in the application after submission – fill in all personal, educational, category, and language details very carefully before clicking final submission; incorrect category claims or document mismatch at any stage can lead to rejection even after selection. Third, selected candidates are placed on probation for 2 years and must pass the departmental “Kadaya Tharabeti” (Survey Training) examination within a 6-month training period, securing a minimum of 35% in the theoretical test and 40% in the practical test; failing this departmental training exam can affect confirmation in service.
