KRCL APPRENTICE TRAINEE RECRUITMENT 2026-27 - 134 Posts

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Government of India Undertaking, has released Notification No. CO/APPR/2026/01 dated 07 August 2026 for a Special Drive to engage 134 Apprentice Trainees under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973. Posts are available across BE/B.Tech and Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, and General Stream Graduates (Arts/Science/Commerce/BBA/Management/Journalism/Business Studies). This is not a conventional online application recruitment – there is no separate online application form or written examination. Eligible candidates must register on the NATS portal, obtain a valid approved NATS ID, and attend Walk-in Document Verification at the Executives Club, Konkan Rail Vihar, Sector-40, Opp. Seawoods Railway Station (West), Navi Mumbai – 400706 between 24 and 28 August 2026 (post-wise dates). Registration at the venue is only between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the scheduled date. Eligibility is restricted to candidates who passed their qualifying degree or diploma between 2021 and 2025 (within the last 5 years). Age limit is 18 to 25 years as on 1 January 2026. The training duration is 1 year and the monthly stipend is Rs. 12,300 (Rs. 6,150 from Government DBT + Rs. 6,150 from KRCL) for Graduate Apprentices and Rs. 10,900 (Rs. 5,450 + Rs. 5,450) for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices.

Important Note: Three things every candidate must act on immediately – the Document Verification dates begin on 24 August 2026, just 16 days away. First, there is NO separate online application form – the only registration required before attending Document Verification is obtaining a valid, approved NATS ID through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal. If you do not already have an approved NATS ID, register at the NATS portal immediately, as approvals are not instant. Second, registration at the Document Verification venue is strictly only between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on your scheduled post-wise date – latecomers will not be considered, and there is no provision to attend on a different date. Third, completing the training does not guarantee any future employment or absorption in KRCL – this is a training engagement under the Apprentices Act, not a regular appointment. Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any Government/PSU/Private organisation under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973 are not eligible to apply.
