The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC), Haridwar has released Advertisement No. A-1/DR(TRI)/S-2/2026 inviting online applications for the Tax and Revenue Inspector Examination 2026 to fill 29 vacancies of Tax and Revenue Inspector (Kar Evam Rajaswa Nirikshak) under the Uttarakhand Palika (Centralized) Revenue Service, Urban Development Department, Government of Uttarakhand. This is a Group “C”, Non-Gazetted, Permanent post under the Contributory Pension Scheme, carrying a pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2800 (Pay Level-5). The online application window has been reopened from 08 August 2026 and the last date to apply is 18 August 2026 at the official UKPSC portal pscuk.net.in. Important Note: Three things every applicant must check before 18 August 2026. First, the online application window was originally open from 15 July 2026 with a last date of 04 August 2026 – it has now been reopened from 08 August 2026 to 18 August 2026 for candidates who could not apply in the original window. If you have already submitted your application, a Correction/Edit window is available from 12 to 21 August 2026 – use it carefully as all fields except mobile number and email ID can be corrected, and any fee difference arising from a category change must be paid during correction. Second, reservation benefits – both vertical (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and horizontal (women/sportsperson/divyang/andolankari) – are granted ONLY if specifically claimed in the online application form; no reservation will be granted after submission if it was not claimed at the time of filling the form. Third, the minimum qualifying marks must be obtained in the written examination itself – 45% for Unreserved, 40% for OBC/EWS, and 35% for SC/ST – and candidates from horizontal reservation categories are evaluated against the qualifying marks of their original (parent) vertical category.

Eligibility to Apply

Domicile: Reservation benefits are applicable only to permanent residents (domicile) of Uttarakhand. Candidates must additionally satisfy at least one of the following qualifying conditions – having passed High School and Intermediate (or equivalent) from a recognised institution in Uttarakhand, OR being registered with an Employment Exchange located in Uttarakhand, OR falling under the service/residency exceptions defined in the notification for armed forces personnel, state/central government employees, or permanent residents of Uttarakhand living outside the state for study or livelihood.

  2. Read the full advertisement (Advertisement No. A-1/DR(TRI)/S-2/2026) carefully, including the “How to Apply” instructions, before proceeding.
  3. Click the “Apply Now” button for Tax and Revenue Inspector Recruitment 2026.
  4. Fill in the Registration Form with accurate personal details and create a login password, then click Submit.
  5. Review the basic information displayed. If correct, tick the verification declaration and submit. If incorrect, select the edit option, make corrections, and resubmit.
  6. After primary registration, a confirmation will be sent to your registered mobile number and email. Click “Click here to login.”
  7. After logging in, fill in your educational details (High School, Intermediate, Graduation and any other qualifications) one at a time using “Add Education Details.” Entries can be edited or deleted before final submission.
  8. Upload your photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines. Re-upload is possible before final submission.
  9. Tick the declaration confirming the photograph and signature are correct, then click Continue.
  10. Review all data on the summary screen. Use “Back and Edit” to correct any errors before final submission.
  11. Once satisfied, tick the final declaration and click the Final Submit button.
  12. Pay the application fee online (Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI) as applicable to your category.
  13. Click “Print Application” to download and print a copy of the submitted application for your records.

Note on Application Cancellation: If an error is found after final submission, a candidate may cancel the application using the “Cancel My Application” button and reapply. However, the fee paid for the cancelled application will not be refunded under any circumstances.


Important Instructions
  • Claim all vertical and horizontal reservation categories in the online application form itself – no reservation will be granted if not claimed at the time of submission.
  • OBC certificate must be issued within the last 3 years and must be valid up to the last date of the online application.
  • EWS certificate must be based on income for financial year 2025-26, valid for 2026-27, and must be held up to the last date of the online application.
  • Only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple applications will all be rejected.
  • Candidates using fake certificates can be debarred from this and future UKPSC examinations for up to 5 years, in addition to legal action.
  • Admit cards will not be sent by post – they will be available for download only from the UKPSC website using the registration number and date of birth.
  • No request for a change of examination centre will be entertained after allotment.
  • Calculators and any calculating device are not permitted inside the examination hall.
  • Mobile phones, cameras, Bluetooth devices, pagers, scanner pens, or any electronic communication device are strictly prohibited inside the examination centre.
  • Mark sheets alone are not accepted as proof of passing a qualification – a degree/provisional certificate is mandatory.
