Age Limits
There is no minimum or maximum age limit prescribed by CBSE for appearing in CTET. Candidates must fulfill the required educational qualifications for the respective paper.
Courses / Posts with Eligibility Criteria
Paper-I (Primary Stage: Class I to V)
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with required percentage and possess or be pursuing a recognized Diploma/Degree in Elementary Education as per CTET notification.
Eligible Qualifications Include:
- Senior Secondary with D.El.Ed.
- Senior Secondary with B.El.Ed.
- Graduation with D.El.Ed.
- Graduation with B.Ed. (as per NCTE guidelines)
Paper-II (Elementary Stage: Class VI to VIII)
Candidates must possess Graduation and a recognized teaching qualification such as:
- B.Ed.
- D.El.Ed.
- B.El.Ed.
- Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP)
For Classes I to VIII
Candidates wishing to teach Classes I to VIII must appear in both Paper-I and Paper-II.
